Authorities Investigate Early Morning Fire as Possible Act of Domestic Terrorism
Las Vegas, NV – A Tesla service center in Las Vegas became the scene of a shocking arson attack early Tuesday morning when multiple Tesla vehicles were deliberately set on fire. The incident, which occurred around 2:45 a.m. at the Tesla Collision Center located in the 6000 block of Badura Avenue near Jones Boulevard and the 215 Beltway, has prompted a swift response from local authorities and the FBI.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), emergency dispatch received several calls reporting a vehicle fire at the facility. Witnesses described hearing gunshots and seeing an individual dressed in black setting cars ablaze. Upon arrival, officers discovered several Tesla vehicles engulfed in flames, with the word "RESIST" spray-painted on the front doors of the building. The Clark County Fire Department quickly contained the fire, limiting the blaze to two vehicles, though five were ultimately damaged by the spreading flames. Fortunately, the fires were extinguished before reaching the vehicles’ batteries, averting a potentially more dangerous situation.

The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force has joined the investigation, with Special Agent in Charge Spencer Evans emphasizing the gravity of the situation. "This is a federal crime," Evans stated. "Violent acts like these are unacceptable, and we will find and prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law." Authorities have yet to apprehend the suspect, described only as an individual wearing all black, and are urging the public to provide any information by contacting the "See Something, Say Something" hotline at 702-828-7777 or submitting tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
The attack comes amid a wave of vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and charging stations nationwide, with incidents reported in states like Oregon, Washington, and Massachusetts in recent weeks. Many attribute this surge in hostility to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s high-profile association with President Donald Trump, including a recent White House photo shoot showcasing Trump’s support for the company. Musk took to X to condemn the violence, writing, "This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong. Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks."

The LVMPD has activated its Major Case Protocol, launching a 24/7 investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. As the probe continues, the incident raises broader questions about the intersection of corporate identity, political polarization, and public safety. For now, the Las Vegas community and Tesla await answers as authorities work to unravel the motive behind this brazen act of destruction.
