Pop sensation Ariana Grande has found herself at the center of controversy after the family of one of Jeffrey Dahmer's victims publicly criticized her for saying the notorious serial killer was her dream dinner guest. The incident came to light during Grande's recent appearance on the "Podcrushed" podcast, where she admitted to having a fascination with serial killers during her younger years.

Grande, 31, recalled a Q&A session with young fans where she was asked about her dream dinner guest. With the parents' permission, she revealed that Jeffrey Dahmer, the infamous Milwaukee serial killer who murdered and dismembered 17 men between 1978 and 1991, was her choice. The singer's admission, which she described as "not funny," left the podcast hosts and listeners stunned.

The family of Tony Hughes, one of Dahmer's victims, was particularly upset by Grande's comments. Shirley Hughes, Tony's mother, expressed her anger and disappointment, saying, "It's just sick in her mind to think that way about my son's murderer. She doesn't know what we have been through." Barbara Hughes, Tony's sister, accused Grande of glamorizing the serial killer and urged her to apologize to the victims' families.

Grande's fascination with Dahmer has also been met with criticism from fans and social media users. Many have expressed shock and disappointment, with some calling for the singer to apologize for her insensitive remarks.

The controversy comes at a time when the families of Dahmer's victims have been vocal about their pain and the impact of true crime media on their lives. The Netflix series "Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story," which dramatized the killer's life and crimes, faced similar backlash from the victims' families.

As the backlash continues, Grande has yet to respond to the criticism or issue an apology. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of sensitivity and empathy when discussing real-life tragedies and the impact they have on the victims' families.
